West London House
A classic west London double fronted villa has been renovated with a rear and side extension added. Now a thoroughly 21 Century warm, quiet and efficient home, originally the old house was in particularly poor condition, evident every time a lorry or bus passed as the house vibrated.
We stitched the house back together, insulated the external walls and roof, installed double glazing and underfloor heating through out. Photo voltaic panels were installed on the roof and extension.
We celebrated the principle rooms on the ground floor and staircase by adding traditional panels, herringbone oak flooring, new ceilings and cornices, with contemporary lighting and furniture.
The new rear extension is a large open plan kitchen, dining and living space for the family and friends to gather, with full height windows looking out to the newly landscaped garden. With polished concrete floors, soundproofed ceiling, contemporary lighting and furniture, the style of this space bright, modern and full of life for a busy family life.
The house feels stylish but friendly, beautiful but not overbearing. A cosy home for a busy family.
