Hodgkinson Design is an architect studio specialising in bespoke residential projects.
We undertake a wide range of projects from new build homes to the refurbishment and extension of existing properties. We offer tailored solutions for our clients’ requirements and ambitions.
Our Approach

We love the challenge of building a lifestyle for our clients. Every design is underpinned by an exploration of beauty, functionality and sustainability.
We are inspired by natures beauty and the harmonious palette of natural materials, using wood, marble, stone, plaster and wool with colour, paintings and sculpture to produce richly tactile environments.
Who We Are
Building A Team
With each new project we build a team of specialists to respond to the project and act as the lead consultant and coordinator with third-party consultants, to ensure smooth project delivery for our clients.
Planning
We have an excellent track record for achieving planning consents, many of which have been in Conservation Areas, for Listed Buildings. Understanding the parameters of what is likely to be approved and having strong communication with planners and historic England have been essential to this success.
Sustainability
We strive to improve the energy efficiency of any building on which we work. We have a good understanding of the measures that can be effective on old properties in conservation areas and to listed buildings and endeavour to be creative in our solutions for new build homes.
Andrew Hodgkinson

Prior to starting Hodgkinson Design, Andrew worked with some of the UK’s leading companies in fashion and beauty, creating stores and brand strategy. His ability to look at the sculptural possibilities within design have enabled Hodgkinson Design to produce beautiful homes for their clients.
Chris Pring
Senior Architect & Director
‘We all want a home which is safe, easy to maintain and comfortable, but these functionalities should occur in the background. The foreground is left for the beauty of the rooms and for the ease of moving between them.’
Chris is an accomplished architect with experience working on residential projects. He has an extensive knowledge of planning and construction and successfully integrates the functional necessities of a building into a modern home. Chris often acts as project manager, communicating with the contractors.
Hannah Bradley
Senior Interior Designer
After starting her design career in Sheffield, Hannah went on to complete her Master’s at the Royal College of Art. It was here she met Andrew and became a part of the interiors team at Hodgkinson Design.
Hannah is very detail oriented in her design process, offering an instinctive eye for colours, materials, and 3D spatial awareness. She aims to build a personable relationship with clients, endeavouring to bring the clients’ vision to life whilst creating a calm and enjoyable design process.
Lara Montani
Interior Designer
Before joining Hodgkinson Design, Lara worked in Argentina and Spain as an architect, mainly focusing on commercial and residential design. She then completed her Master’s in Interior Design at the Royal College of Art and joined the team shortly after.
Lara enjoys how architecture and interior design are in constant conversation to create a cohesive space, and endeavours to understand the clients’ values and interests to create homes that are specific, functional and enjoyable.
Daisy Ward
Studio and Marketing Manager
Daisy is involved in the running of the office, ensuring operations run efficiently and the studio environment remains welcoming and organised. She manages communications with press, coordinates marketing efforts, and liaises with potential clients.
With a natural ability to connect with people, she ensures that both clients and staff are always well looked after, creating an atmosphere of support and collaboration. Her passion for interiors led her to the role.
