Hodgkinson Design Attends Exclusive Evening with Chaplins & Edra

A few weeks ago, members of the Hodgkinson Design team had the pleasure of attending an exclusive evening hosted by Chaplins in collaboration with the iconic Italian furniture brand Edra. Set in a stunning, classically appointed interior of the Italian Embassy, the event offered a first-hand look at Edra’s newest collection - an inspired blend of sculptural design, comfort, and innovation.

A Setting Rich in Contrast

The venue was a masterclass in contrast, heritage architecture and historical décor meeting avant-garde design. Against a backdrop of antique furniture, ornate detailing, and oil portraits, Edra’s futuristic forms and tactile materials stood out with bold, captivating presence.

A Closer Look at the Collection

Among the standout pieces was the Red Velvet Flower Chair, shaped like a blooming petal and upholstered in vibrant velvet. More than a seat, it felt like a playful sculpture;inviting interaction, curiosity, and admiration.

Another highlight was the Golden Modular Sofa, with its exaggerated, plush contours and shimmering textile. It offered not only a visual statement but also extraordinary comfort, something Edra is famously known for - blending art with ergonomic brilliance.

A Night of Conversation & Creative Exchange

Throughout the evening, guests explored, tested, and discussed the pieces with Chaplins and Edra representatives. The atmosphere was one of relaxed luxury, where design professionals, creatives, and enthusiasts mingled over drinks and engaging conversation.
