Bespoke metalwork

Every project begins with a detailed understanding of the property's architecture, its setting, and the client's aspirations. Rather than applying a standard solution, each gate, railing, and architectural metalwork element is individually designed to respond to the character of the building and the way it is experienced.

For this project, the design sought to respect the elegant Victorian façade while introducing a contemporary intervention through refined proportions and clean geometric lines. The bespoke gate was carefully scaled to frame the entrance without competing with the original architecture, creating a seamless transition between the public street and the private home.

The selection of materials and finishes forms an integral part of the design process. The metalwork is specified in either an anodic bronze finish or a black powder coating, depending on the architectural intent, with Oilite bronze bearing hinges and solid brass fittings chosen not only for their durability but also for the richness and authenticity they bring to the finished piece.

Every detail, from the handcrafted latch to the alignment of the vertical bars, is considered to achieve a balance between function, craftsmanship, and visual elegance. No two projects are the same; each piece of bespoke metalwork is designed, fabricated, and finished specifically for its location, ensuring it becomes an integral part of the home's architectural identity rather than simply an addition to it.
